Scientific Research Base

To promote the innovation-driven strategy, Fuhai Group has founded the Fuhai Research Institute who is missioned to establish a scientific and technological innovation system that integrates basic research, engineering development, and the research and development of product application. With headquarters in Dongying, the institute adopts the "integrated R&D and two-place layout" strategy, namely, to build a petrochemical new material research base in Guanggu Future City, Dongying and a cutting-edge laboratory in Shanghai Hongqiao Science and Technology Innovation Park, aiming to form national-level “industry-university-institute” integrated training bases, with a total area of 7,000 square meters. In addition, two R&D achievements transformation production bases will be built in Hekou district, Dongying and Dongying port respectively.

The institute is equipped with more than 90 sets of scientific research equipment and instruments that are globally and domestically advanced and worth more than 30 million yuan, including FANUC all-electric injection molding machine, COPERION twin screw extruder, Kubota weightless scale, Instron universal electronic tensile machine, impact testing machine, thermal deformation vicat tester, TA dynamic thermomechanical analyzer, Agilent gas chromatography, Agilent gas mass spectrometer, ACQUITY liquid mass spectrometer, Ultraviolet spectrometer, infrared spectrometer, and nylon/polyester polymerization kettle, which are able to meet the needs for the synthesis, extrusion, injection, product inspection, and performance testing of polyester and special engineering plastic products, laying a good foundation for carrying out scientific research projects.

The research institute keeps a close eye on market demands and conducting targeted application development so as to make sure products that meet market demands are put into production and launched as early as possible, while at the same time it keeps improving the quality and processes of existing products.
